 STAR OF DAVID AND IVY CAST IRON GRILLES
A set of victorian cast iron grilles with Star/Shield of David and ivy decoration.Good castings with original paint.Ivy has religeous meaning including immortality, friendship, faithfulness and signifies the need for protection because it is an evergreen that clings whilst climbing.
Not sure of origins,possibly a synagogue.English.19th century.
48" by 16.5" (14.5 without fixing lugs)

 ROMAN COLUMN CAST IRON RADIATORS
Early cast iron radiators nicknamed roman columns because of their shape-not sure if this was their original name.They date from circa 1895.Most with plaques on top with the plumbers name on-these say H Harvey Dukinfield.They also read at the bottom Patd 1895. Although rare i have a good set of these radiators from various buildings in the North in a range of sizes.They can be successfully adapted for use in the home-one picture shows a 38 inch tall one being in a customers bathroom.I also have a good quantity of 26 inch tall ones,36/38 tall ones and a few 30" tall ones and a few approx 21" tall.Not all have stands.
They can be refurbished to customers requirements.A very good hall or bathroom radiator.They can be mixed with other styles.Please see my other adverts for examples of other radiators and further information.
I can help customers choose a set of radiators tailered to their needs and do all the restoration and arrange transport.

 18 INCH HIGH CAST IRON RADIATORS
A useful size of radiators for under windows.These are 3 inch deep and 18 inch high hospital style and came from a college in Sheffield.I have a quantity of these.I have a large quantity of other hospital style radiators in different sizes as well as other types of cast iron radiators.I am able to make up sets and refurbish to customers requirements.Please see other radiator adverts for more details.

 DUTCHESS CAST IRON RADIATORS-18 INCHES HIGH
A set of antique cast iron radiators from a chapel on Cemetary Lane, Burnley.These are approx 1920's or a little earlier and are a a hard to find lower size.There are five in this set.A very usefull size where a customer needs a radiator for a very low window cill.I have a good quantity of this type of radiator and similar thicker or deeper ones in 26 (few), 30 , 36/38 inch heights and various lengths.I can make up sets for customers projects and refurbish them.Please see other adverts for details and more information.
The dimensions of these in inches: four of at 42 wide (to edge of castings not bushes) by 18 high by 5 deep (14 sections) and one of at 36 wide by 18 high by 5 deep(12 sections)

 24 INCH HIGH CAST IRON RADIATORS
Showing a quantity of 2 by 2 foot by 5.75 inches hospital radiators.A good size, i also have this style and others in many other sizes.All can be refurbished to customers requirements.Please see other adverts for more information.This particular set came from a hospital in Lancashire.
Also shown is a 3 inch deep by 30 inch high hospital radiator fitted in a customers house and painted in an antique "dirty" bronze colour.

 FAT ANTIQUE CAST IRON RADIATORS
I have a good stock of these fat hospital radiators.Two of the pictures show the early ones(from a miners convalescence home on Blackpool fron,a large building now converted into flats) - 1920's-which are clean lined and elegant and have decorative bushes and two show later ones -approx 1940's,50's-not quite as elegant but a good simple shape which fits well into most styles and periods.These are approx 7.5 inches deep which give out a lot of heat for their width.I have a good set at 24 inches and 30 inches high and some at 18 inches and a few taller ones.
I also have regular hospital ones at 6 inches deep in various sizes and some at 3 inches deep which are usefull for hallways etc.
I am able to restore and supply sets of radiators to customers requirements and arrange delivery.I am able to supply radiators with the correct bushes and wall fixings so no other parts (apart from valves) need to be sourced by the customer /plumber.

 ANTIQUE 4 COLUMN CAST IRON RADIATORS.
I have a large quantity of 4 column radiators in a wide range of sizes suitable for most projects.
The pictures show a 30 inch high 4 column radiator and a 24 inch high 4 column radiator.
These can be supplied pressure tested and refurbished to customers requirements.The reducing bushes can be fitted if wished to reduce plumbing costs and risk of breakage.Also fixing brackets and keeps can be supplied.
I also have 2 column radiators, some 6 column ones and have a range of heights and lengths.
I also have other types of radiators including rare and unusual ones.
I am able to work with customers to find the set of radiators they need- the right type,size and heat output and can refurbish to whatever level required and can arrange delivery.

 SET OF 10 VICTORIAN CAST IRON COLUMNS
A set of ten matching victorian cast iron columns from a Yorshire swimming pool.Moulded circular columns on the top two thirds and octagonal lower parts.Good flat plates top and bottom for fixing.These have been structural and held up the balcony above.Please note they have small vertical fins(for the changing cubicles behind them)-please see pictures.
I have the wroght and cast iron gallery panels from this building as well.

 EARLY ENGLISH ANTIQUE CAST IRON RADIATORS
A wonderful set of early decorative english cast iron radiators.I believe these are made by Beeston and are over 100 years old.Very rare and stylish.Pictures show a set of 4-dimensions in inches:2 radiators are 13 wide bt 27.5 high and two are 16.26 by 27.5 high and all are 8.75 deep.
I have a further set of 4 larger ones and will add dimensions later.I also have a 20 section 27.5 high one recently purchased to come in.
So 9 in total. I will sell as a set and may split.To be sold pressure tested and to customers specification.

 UNIQUE ANTIQUE CHURCH OR SHOWJUMPING RADIATOR
An impressive antique cast iron radiator bought from a local dealer. Reputed to have come from either a local co-op building or one of our grim northern showjumping arenas.Decorated with chevron and lozenges to the upright ends and horizontal tubes.Inscription either end reads Mercer Bros Makers Blackburn.This firm is still in existence as a steel, and pipefitters and plumbers merchants.
Not too big,the dimensions in inches are: 38.5 max height by 60 long,pipes are approx 3.25 in diameter (3.5 with lozenges), columns are 6.5 wide by 5.5 deep.

 REFURBISHED DUTCHESS CAST IRON RADIATOR
An example of a recently refurbished antique cast iron radiator for a customer. This is known as a single column or dutchess and dates from the early 20th century.The customer wanted original valves with the inlet and outlet at one end, the original bleeder valve, the original keeps(plates holding the rad to the wall) with brass nuts(not shown).He also wanted it painting in Farrow and Ball paint.
The radiator was flushed out after removing the bushes using a hose and bottle brush, then pressure tested, then sandblasted and primed, then pressure tested again, the correct bushes attached using hemp and boss white paste on the threads. A pair of original -approx 1920's- valves were found to fit.These and the bleeder valves were hand stripped of paint and polished but not overpolished. Two coats of Farrow and Ball eggshell oilpaint were then hand brushed on.

 ANTIQUE CIRCULAR CAST IRON RADIATOR

An unusual decorative circular cast iron radiator from a Halifax coop.Of fine size and form it is made of two semi cicular radiators that could be used as a pair,say up against a wall or as one round radiator around a column or otherwise.With semi circular or circular glass mounted below the top it could also function as a table or pair of console tables-for a vase of flowers for example.
Dimensions in inches;37.5 high by 32 diameter, the aperture is 23 in diameter and each section (34 sections in total) is 4.5 deep.
