 EARLY ANTIQUE DECORATIVE CAST IRON RADIATORS

A splendid pair of early decorative cast iron radiators by Jobson's who were one of the earliest radiator manufacturers.I only have this pair in stock.They are very rare.

I have a very large amount of cast iron radiators for sale from the standard types to the unusual and i am happy to work with customers to find a set that suits their requirements (size,type and heat outputs)and am able to restore them to whatever stage required including stripping old paint off,flushing and cleaning the insides,priming and painting.I can supply with the inlet and outlets in the preferred positions and with new bushes (threaded reducers for attaching valves and/or pipework)the correct size for the customers valves and pipework.I can also supply threaded bar,backplates and keeps to secure the radiator to the wall.I can also fit the reducing bushes for the customer if so wished so the plumber won't have to source bushes/parts or have any risk of overtightening and breaking the casting.Radiators can be shipped by pallet to the uk at a very reasonable price.I can help customers choose their radiators and can send pictures and sizes by email and can discuss on the phone.When decided on the style/type and size i can send pictures of the actual radiators chosen if wished.Pressure testing is carried out after the radiators have been sandblasted and primed (and before as well sometimes)using professional equipment.

 UNIQUE ANTIQUE CHURCH OR SHOWJUMPING RADIATOR
An impressive antique cast iron radiator bought from a local dealer. Reputed to have come from either a local co-op building or one of our grim northern showjumping arenas.Decorated with chevron and lozenges to the upright ends and horizontal tubes.Inscription either end reads Mercer Bros Makers Blackburn.This firm is still in existence as a steel, and pipefitters and plumbers merchants.
Not too big,the dimensions in inches are: 38.5 max height by 60 long,pipes are approx 3.25 in diameter (3.5 with lozenges), columns are 6.5 wide by 5.5 deep.

 REFURBISHED DUTCHESS CAST IRON RADIATOR
An example of a recently refurbished antique cast iron radiator for a customer. This is known as a single column or dutchess and dates from the early 20th century.The customer wanted original valves with the inlet and outlet at one end, the original bleeder valve, the original keeps(plates holding the rad to the wall) with brass nuts(not shown).He also wanted it painting in Farrow and Ball paint.
The radiator was flushed out after removing the bushes using a hose and bottle brush, then pressure tested, then sandblasted and primed, then pressure tested again, the correct bushes attached using hemp and boss white paste on the threads. A pair of original -approx 1920's- valves were found to fit.These and the bleeder valves were hand stripped of paint and polished but not overpolished. Two coats of Farrow and Ball eggshell oilpaint were then hand brushed on.

 ANTIQUE CIRCULAR CAST IRON RADIATOR

An unusual decorative circular cast iron radiator from a Halifax coop.Of fine size and form it is made of two semi cicular radiators that could be used as a pair,say up against a wall or as one round radiator around a column or otherwise.With semi circular or circular glass mounted below the top it could also function as a table or pair of console tables-for a vase of flowers for example.
Dimensions in inches;37.5 high by 32 diameter, the aperture is 23 in diameter and each section (34 sections in total) is 4.5 deep.

 RARE FAT CAST IRON RADIATORS
A set of hard to find squat or deep radiators of approx 80 years old.
There is a pair of lower ones from a Victorian house in Southport.
These are 26.5"/675mm high by 36.25"/920mm wide(12 sections) by 11"/280mm deep.
And a set of six from a church in Wigan 32.5"/830mm high by 24"/610mm wide (8 sections) by 11"/280mm deep.(see pic with gold coloured radiators)
The set can be split.If you need others of a similar style and age but in different and slimmer sizes i have a quantity available.Please see my other radiators advertised or get in touch and i will do my best to advise.
My radiators can be sold as is or be refurbished to your requirements and sent anywhere in the uk.

Not as heavy as cast iron but commercial heavy duty quality.

A pair of decorative church cast iron radiators.Horizontal cast iron tubes ending in decorative columns with repeating circular floral motif to the three sides.Run on water not steam.
Have come from a working system in a church at Southport.
Dimensions in inches: 33.25 high by 4.5 depth by 58.75 and 82.5 lengths.Pipes are approx 2.25 in diameter and the columns are 4.5 square.
Each has a bleeder valve and threaded inlet and outlet which will take a modern bush fitting.I will sell pressure tested, and with appropriate bushes if required.I will also sell reprimed and coated if required.

 LARGE WROUGHT IRON CROSS
A large antique wrought iron cross.I don't know where it originally came from. Beautifully made with traditional blacksmiths joints.If you look carefully you can see one of the pegged mortice and tenon joints.

 BAROQUE STYLE RAINWATER HOPPERS
A good pair of early Victorian Baroque style rainwater hoppers,each with a putto to centre.
In good useable condition.One does have a small hole at the back which could be repaired.
dimensions in inches:max height is 25, max width is 20, max depth is 7.5, outlet diameter is 4 ".
