 PINE AND GESSO SURROUND
An antique pine and gesso fire surround.
Heavily painted-could be stripped or scraped back to earlier paint.
Dimensions in inches:
Shelf;48.25 by 4.75, width to jambs; 40.25, height;58.5, aperture;34 wide by 42.5 high.
No gesso damage.

 LARGE COLUMNED OAK SURROUND - SCOTTISH
A large antique columned oak surround.Solid oak with pine back boards.
Scottish (Station Hotel, Helensburgh)
Dimensions in inches:77.5 max width across shelf,depth of shelf is 9.5 and 12 over column centres, 60.5 high. Aperture is 42 by 45 high.

 1950'S TILED SURROUND
A good quality 1950's tiled surround in good useable order.It has been given a quick clean to photograph.

 LARGE WROUGHT IRON NEO GOTHIC FIREBASKET
A Scottish wrought iron neo gothic fire basket / dog grate.The back is decorated with large wrought iron thistle and leaves-the larger middle one being approx. 14 inches across.This grate is made entirely of wrought iron including the 4 thistle finials surmounting the grate.Finely made by J.McHardy & Son, Aberdeen in 1895.
Overall size is 32" wide by 40" high.Interior space in grate is 21.25 by 8.5" deep.

A lovely georgian insert surround which would make a simple fire surround in it's own right-very simple Georgian style with very little cost!
Repeating pattern on brass surround on steel frame.

A very tasteful early pine surround with pleasing running decoration in carved in pine ( not gesso).Surround has been scraped back to the earliest 2 or 3 coats.Shelf looks a little heavy but appears to be original(original paint to the top surface)

 REGENCY STONE SURROUND
Regency stone surround of nice colour. Well worn but retains charm! I think someone has been a little over enthusiastic with the sand blasting. Not for someone wanting a perfect piece but is complete and will make a nice original fireplace.With hearth stone.

A very pleasing portland stone gothic style fireplace.Arched opening with moulded trefoil style arch above.Decorated with trefoils and quatrefil and cross within central roundel.Manchester,uk (est.1860/70's).Possibly Alfred Waterhouse.Comes with ribbed cast iron backplate and cheeks.
