 ANTIQUE LABORATORY VASES VESSELS
A set of three old hand blown laboratory measuring vessels with hand etched graduations.
I'm not very keen on selling these as they are very good for flowers!
6.26, 7.25 and 8.5 inches tall.

 DECORATIVE VICTORIAN ORGAN PIPES
Decorative organ frontage from a good Victorian organ.Comprising of approx 37 painted oragn pipes in powder blue with green, gold and claret decoration.I have the frame for the centre section of pipes and the two semi circular brackets on which the 5 pipes either side of the central section stand on.

 VICTORIAN MAYPOLE
A Victorian maypole top with pitch pine octagonal base and oak (i think) sphere top.Excellent condition.
This has been cut perfectly flat at the base so it stands.The base shown is not included.
From Gargrave village,Yorkshire Dales.
Dimensions in inches:42.5 high, 5.5 width at base,12 diameter head.

 ANTIQUE CARVED OAK PANEL - OLD TESTAMENT SCENE
Approx 18th century carved oak panel mounted (using oak buttons see reverse picture) to a later Victorian frame.
Presumabley a scene from Noahs ark of either the dove returning with an olive branch or being released a third time (the dove didn't return a third time so it was deemed safe to remove the covering from the ark)
Dimensions in inches: 30.75 wide by 41.5 high overall, 15 by 20.5 wide within frame opening.

An antique painted wooden shield circa 1870 bearing the Rawtenstall borough coat of arms and crest and motto "Floret Qui Lobarat"-He prospers who labours.
17.75" wide by 18" high.From one plank.
Has an eye on the back ready to hang on the wall.It would be quite easy to post this worldwide.

ARMS: Or on a Fesse Gules between two Stags trippant at gaze in chief proper and a Mound in base Vert thereon two Cows grazing and respecting each other Sable a Wolf courant of the first between two Bales of Wool of the third in the chief point a sinister Hand couped at the wrist of the second.
CREST: On a Wreath of the Colours upon a Mount a Squirrel sejant cracking a Nut between two Sprigs of the Cotton Tree slipped leaved and fructed all proper.
Motto 'Floret Qui Laborat' - He prospers who labours.
Granted 16th July 1871.
rawtenstall bc arms
The squirrel, stags, and wolf are emblems of the Forest of Rossendale which once surrounded Rawtenstall. There is a tradition that before the deforestation, in the reign of Henry VII, the squirrel could leap from tree to tree. Wolves haunted the forest, and one part of the Borough formerly bore the name 'Wolfenden Booth'. The red hand, cut off at the wrist, recalls the penalty for killing the King's deer. The cows represent agriculture; the Borough includes a former hamlet called Cowpe, anciently Cowup, said to have been a place in the uplands where cows used to graze. The cotton and woolpacks stand for modern industries.
