Laboratory Table Lamps - Pair

A vintage / antique pair of laboratory table lamps by J.Swift & Son London (in business from 1857 until 1969). c1940. Super quality and design. The shade is spun aluminium , the base is cast iron with original "wrinkly" paint, the stem and other fittings are nickel plated or black painted brass. They have been fully cleaned and are in excellent condition. Fully adjustable up and down and around the stem and shades tilt up and down. All adjustments work very well without slippage. Each rewired with 2 meters dark brown fabric flex, hard plastic "traditional" plugs and British made bronzed brass lampholders and cordgrips. Dimensions in inches/cms; Max. height (shade pointing upwards) is 12"/31cms. Height to top of stem is 8"/24cms. Base diameter is 5.5"/14cm. Priced for the pair.
