unusual french ceramic vessel stand c1920

An unusual white enamelled ceramic (heavy fireclay type material) vessel or stand / container with a shaped and fluted front and moulded "rope" handles dating from approx the early 20th century. This has possibly been a stick stand ( although has a very clean interior) A great bathroom piece ( loo rolls, laundry etc) A chip to the rear at base.
